ABOUT QUANDARY
Quandary Consulting Group is a Denver-based technology consulting firm that helps organizations move faster by solving complex operational challenges, modernizing outdated processes, and integrating disconnected systems into scalable, automated workflows that drive measurable results.

THE ROLE
This is a hybrid consulting + builder role for someone who thrives in both strategic client conversations and hands-on solution development.
You will work directly with clients: running discovery, challenging assumptions, designing solutions, and guiding engagements from problem definition to delivery. You will also be heads down building alongside the team, turning those solutions into working applications. The person who thrives here does not see consulting and building as separate jobs. They move fluidly between a C-suite conversation and a technical build session and bring the same standard to both.
A meaningful portion of this role also involves pre-sales: scoping engagements, building proof-of-concept solutions, authoring levels of effort, and helping prospects understand what is possible before a contract is signed.
You will be a key member of Quandary's Advanced Development Team (ADT), our group of senior consultants and developers focused on solving the firm's most complex technical challenges. The ADT designs custom applications, develops advanced integrations, leverages AI, and extends low-code platforms through custom development to deliver solutions that go beyond out-of-the-box capabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead Client Engagements
  • Run discovery sessions that surface root business challenges, not just surface symptoms
  • Challenge assumptions, reframe problems, and guide clients toward scalable outcomes
  • Present confidently to stakeholders at every level, from operations teams to the C-suite
  • Navigate difficult conversations, manage scope, and build lasting trust as a strategic advisor
  • Leverage AI tools to accelerate solution design, development, documentation, testing, and client delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
Drive Pre-Sales and Scoping
  • Partner with sales to lead requirements-gathering before contracts are signed
  • Build proof-of-concept solutions and prototypes that help prospects see the vision
  • Facilitate solution demos that connect platform capabilities to specific client goals
  • Author accurate, defensible levels of effort and scoping documents that protect both sides
Design and Build Solutions
  • Develop custom functionality using JavaScript, APIs, webhooks, SQL, HTML/CSS, and related technologies
  • Design and build applications using both low-code platforms and traditional software development practices
  • Build scalable integrations between business systems and third-party platforms
  • Design and build applications using both low-code platforms and traditional software development practices
Own Delivery End-to-End
  • Take full accountability for project outcomes: timeline, scope, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Flag risks proactively and escalate blockers before they become visible to the client
  • Produce clear documentation: process maps, requirements specs, training materials, and handoff guides
Elevate the Team
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to a culture of high standards
  • Share lessons learned, contribute to the internal knowledge base, and improve team processes

Qualifications
Consulting and Client Presence
3 or more years in a client-facing consulting, solutions engineering, or advisory role. Proven track record leading discovery, requirements-gathering, and executive-level presentations. Demonstrated ability to challenge clients constructively and guide them toward better outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication is important. Comfortable in ambiguity. A bias toward ownership.
Technical Foundation
  • 2 or more years of hands-on experience designing and building low-code applications across one or more platforms (QuickBase, Airtable, Smartsheets, MS Power Apps, Workato, Zapier, MS Power Automate)
  • Proficient in relational database design, including how data modeling decisions affect application behavior and business logic
  • Proven hands-on experience building system integrations via APIs and webhooks.
  • Professional experience developing custom applications or integrations with JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of AWS (Lambda, API Gateway) or Azure (Function Apps, Logic Apps) ecosystems
  • Expert-level data analysis skills, including the ability to model, interrogate, and present complex data sets in ways that drive client decisions
  • Pre-sales or solutions engineering experience
Bonus Points
  • Background in software implementation, business process management, or enterprise consulting
  • Experience building formal business cases and ROI analyses, including the ability to quantify operational impact and present findings to executive stakeholders
  • Experience advising clients on AI adoption and integrating AI capabilities directly into low-code solutions
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development and prompt engineering applied in a consulting context
  • Active certification in QuickBase, Workato

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
